Rafe Eric Biggs, Ph.D. is the founder of Soma Evolution an organization committed to generating transformative change in the lives of people, organizations, and the world.
Rafe is a somatic educator, researcher and documentary filmmaker who has worked with individuals and organizations for nearly two decades. He’s worked with a diverse range of clients, including corporate leaders, entrepreneurs, and individuals who have experienced a dramatic life change.
Rafe earned his doctorate in Organizational Psychology from Alliant International University, San Francisco and Certified Master Somatic Coach from Strozzi Institute. He has advanced training in somatics and trauma, neuro-linguistics, hypnotherapy, shamanism, energetic meditation, and sacred sexuality.
In 2004 Rafe had a life altering experience. While traveling on spiritual retreat in India, he fell from a building and broke his neck. In an instant, he became a quadriplegic, paralyzed from the chest down. In that single moment, his life was transformed from “having it all” to “losing everything” – or so it seemed. Rafe has spent the last several years learning how to take trauma and transform it into evolutionary growth.
